SCIC Interfaith Cafes

Interfaith Cafes are small group discussions for laity and youth (9th-12th grade) as well as religious leaders about how their faith impacts their daily lives and how their faith makes it possible to relate to and appreciate those from other faith traditions. Each session consists of the same format, with different participants. You may come to any or all of them. The Interfaith Cafes are held during the summer months of each year.

2010 Interfaith Cafes

When:     Sundays, May 23, June 13, July 11, August 8. 2010; 2-5 p.m.

Where:   May 23: St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6220 Willow St. Long Beach
               Co-host: Center for Spiritul Living, Redondo Beach

               June 13: Holy Spirit Fellowship, 1115 Market St. Long Beach
               Co-host: Congregation Shir Chadash, Lakewood

               July 11: Seaside Community Church, 22940 Ocean Ave, Torrance    
               Co-host: Soka Gakai International


 August 8: The Neighborhood Church, 415 Paseo del Mar, Palos Verdes Estates Co-host: Vedanta International Cultural Center, Redondo Beach

 

Why:       To foster understanding about different faith traditions and to inform                about the SCIC and serving opportunities.

Other:     Refreshments will be served. A free-will donation will be taken.
